It feels like a great way to wrap up 2022 which has been a year of art exploration as I re-embraced regular art making as an important part of my life. I don't do self-portraits often and I also want to explore a wide range of ways to represent my self as well as incorporating every medium I own into this challenge. Some might be quick sketches if its a busy day and others might be artworks I spend more time developing. Either way, each day of December I am going to create a self-portait and share it on my Instagram and artist Facebook page. I'm excited to see how these change from day to day and week to week as the month progresses.

Here's a self-portrait I created when I taught at Charlotte High School that coincided with our Homecoming Famous Person day where I was dressed as artist Frida Kahlo.
